Art impressions
From
Country
of bunkers and colors
Our first
link to Albania was Temo Mikel, an excellent painter we met through internet.
He pointed us to his wife who is working for the Albanian municipaly at
the Project Coordination Unit. They have connected us with the National
Art Gallery where we have held our Global Mobile exhibition.
We got hooked up with Codart from Amsterdam who is organizing an Albanian
festival around the musical of Alexander Peca, in autumn 2004 in Netherlands.
They have used our contacts to explore more of Albanian art, they might
use the results of our painters workshop and Gerard Hulsenbeck came with
us in order to record music, film and give all kinds of support.
But art is wide in Albania. The new major, Edi Rama, considers himself
as a painter and one of the first things he did was to paint the city
in all colors. The city looks extremely good because of that.
As mentioned many yongsters are artists doing exhibitions and art actions.

Hulsenbech came with us mainly to work for Codart, to make video
recordings of 80 questions work and to record the multinational
song. Here we are doing some shots at the last day, in order to
make more images with the sound recordings he had done. |
